Cayambe Excursion

It was a true expedition and when I entered the volunteers house where we organized the equipment, I got a little scared. 10 ice axes, 10 crampons, sleepings bags, tents, jackets, ice boots, peanut butter. The kids very so full of adrenaline, that they jumped around like crazy, trying to find the best fitting equipment. They went to the mountain 3am saturday morning, practiced on the lower glacier, camped and went a little higher up at 3am on sunday. Back in Zuleta at 6pm, they were all quite tired and hungry, but SO satisfied.
It was a great success and an unforgettable experience for these 7 boys.
